Swiss Krono finished production of its first MDF board in the new plant in Barnwel, USA
On August 24, 2019, Swiss Krono produced the first MDF board in the new MDF HDF plant in Barnwell, South Carolina, USA. The plant will serve the growing flooring, MDF and HDF markets in the US. With the new plant, one can finally grow profitably in the US market, explains plant manager Erik Christensen. The plant has an annual capacity of 280,000 m3, mainly floor support panels. The investment was $ 230 million. Swiss Krono ordered the plant from Siempelkamp in 2016. ...
