Segezha plans to build a glulam plant in Karelia

Segezha Group is planning the construction of a glued laminated timber plant in Segezha, Republic of Karelia, Russia.  Investment in the project will amount to some RUB 13.4 billion ($184 million). The plant's output will be 240,000 m3. The commission is scheduled for 2023. The plant will manufacture glulam products for Russia, the EU member states and Japan. The project aims at increasing the volume of added-value wood processing products and the growth of the sales geography.  Ground surveying works for the project have already been launched.
