Södra’s harvesting operations impacted by mild weather
Mild weather during the autumn and winter period has impacted harvesting operations in some parts of Södra’s forestry operations area. Harvesting operations will now be diverted to land with sufficient soil compaction to prevent driving damage. Wood supplies to the mills are still on track. “The weather in recent months has affected hauling conditions and the harvesting rate in some places. However, due to effective planning, high mill stocks and balanced roadside stocks, wood deliveries to the mills are on track and remain stable,” said Sofia Petersson, Wood Supply Manager Södra Skog.  ...
