The Rettenmeier Group has officially acquired significant parts of the insolvent Ziegler Group, marking a major consolidation in the European sawmill industry. The acquisition positions Rettenmeier as the third-largest sawmill group in Europe, with an annual softwood lumber production volume of 3.1 million cubic meters.
