Woodgrain to close sawmill in Oregon
Woodgrain Inc. will permanently close its sawmill in Pilot Rock, Oregon, affecting 62 employees, as stated in a notice filed with state officials. The facility, located at 600 NW Cedar Street, will cease operations on or after September 1, 2025, with no bumping rights for affected non-union employees, according to Woodgrain Inc. The company plans to consolidate operations with its sawmill in La Grande, also in Oregon.
