Wood prices in Estonia are slipping sharply

In Estonia, roadside prices for raw wood have declined. The peak of softwood log prices was in January, when roadside prices were 73.8 euros for pine, 72.7 for spruce and 87.8 for birch. Since then it has come down and the latest April prices are 72.4, 69.6 and 82.3 euros. The price slide in Estonia has intensified and the latest prices would already are below Finnish prices. The price peak for sawlogs was in July of last year, when the roadside price of a stout log at least 18 centimeters from ...
