Vietnam’s wood products exports to rise sharply this year
Forestry sector in Vietnam is expected to reach its export target of US$9 billion a month ahead of schedule, due to the large shipments during the first eight months of the year. About $696 million worth of timber and wood products were shipped abroad in August, raising the eight-month figure to $5.6 billion – up 12.6 per cent year-on-year, according to the Vietnam Administration of Forestry (VNForest).
