U.S. and European lumber price increases lift Mercer’s wood segment performance

Mercer International, one of North America’s leading pulp and lumber producers, reported a net loss of $22.3 million for the first quarter of 2025, as planned maintenance, a softer dollar, and persistent cost pressures dampened what could have been a more optimistic start to the year.
