The 20 largest European sawmills are expected to produce 5% lumber more this year. The wood industry giant Stora Enso remains number 1 in Europe. The Finnish company with strong central European sawmills is estimated with a production of 5.6 million m3 this year . That would be 1% less than in 2021. The decline is due to the shutdown of the two Russian sawmills at the beginning of March. While the development at Stora Enso is clouded by the sale of the Russian sawmills, Binderholz continues to catch up.   ...
