Timber prices in Russia on an upward trend
In April 2020, the export price of hardwood timber used for sawing and planing in Russia reached the highest value of 7565 rubles per cubic meter (US$ 107.20/m3), which was 58% higher than the price in 2019. In 2018, the price of hardwood logs rose 8% to 2021 rubles per cubic meter (US$ 28.64/m3). The average price of hardwood for sawing and planing in 2019 was 2248 rubles per cubic meter (US$ 31.85/m3).
