Swedish forest industry comments on U.S. tariffs
The Swedish Forest Industries Federation has commented on the U.S. tariffs against, among others, the EU, which were announced on Wednesday evening. "The announcement of the U.S.'s new tariffs is regrettable. Free trade is crucial for Swedish industry in general, and especially for export-oriented sectors like the forest industry, which relies heavily on raw materials and production in Sweden with sales abroad," says Viveka Beckeman, CEO of the Swedish Forest Industries Federation (Skogsindustrierna).
