Sweden’s timber buyers expect stable or rising prices in 2025, long-term outlook remains bullish
Most timber buyers in Sweden expect log prices to remain stable or rise slightly in 2025, with supply constraints and steady demand underpinning the market, according to a new survey. About 70% of respondents believe timber prices will either stay at current levels or increase by up to 5% next year, the survey found. Only 10% expect prices to fall, with pessimism concentrated in southern regions. Meanwhile, 5% of buyers, mainly in northern Sweden, anticipate price increases exceeding 10%.
