Sweden’s roundwood prices rise in Q1 2025, driven by high demand
Roundwood prices in Sweden rose sharply in the first quarter of 2025, driven by strong demand for sawlogs. New data from the Swedish Forest Agency show that average prices for sawlogs increased by 11% compared to the previous quarter, while pulpwood rose by 5%. Pine sawlogs reached 972 SEK per cubic metre (EUR 84), up from 866 SEK (EUR 75) in the fourth quarter of 2024. Spruce sawlogs climbed to 1,110 SEK (EUR 96), from 1,006 SEK (EUR 87).
