Sweden’s forest owners’ associations are increasing the purchase prices of wood

In recent weeks, all Swedish forest owners' organizations have increased the prices of the wood they buy for their members.  Södra, which operates in southern Sweden, increased cubic prices for both log and pulpwood by the roadside by SEK 30 (EUR 2.88). In addition, the company announced it would increase harvest rates to compensate for rising fuel prices for entrepreneurs.  Mellanskog in central Sweden, on the other hand, increased the roadside prices for logs and pulpwood by SEK 20 (EUR 1.92) per cubicle in early March.
