Sweden: Sawlog prices continue to rise in Q2/2024
In the second quarter of this year, the price of sawlogs increased by nearly eight percent, while the price of pulpwood rose by five percent. The largest price increases occurred in southern Sweden. According to statistics from the Swedish Forest Agency, timber prices continued to rise during the second quarter of 2024. The statistics show that regionally, the price of sawlogs increased the most in Götaland, with a five percent rise, followed by Svealand with a three percent increase.
