Significant recovery in China’s softwood lumber imports in April
After Chinese imports of softwood lumber experienced a though first quarter, a significant recovery was noticed at the beginning of the second quarter. The import volume in April climbed up to a total of 2.638 million cubic meters. The import volume of all Chinese softwood lumber products increased by nearly 31% as compared with March, especially for spruce products, which increased by 18.7% compared with March.
