Swedish sawmills exported -5% less softwood lumber in 2018
    The Swedish sawmills have decreased their sawn and planed softwood lumber exports by -5%, to 12 million m3, during 2018.    Most of the softwood lumber exports from Sweden went to countries the European Union, where the shipments reached 6,67 million m3, -2% less than in 2017. Also, exports to North Africa and other Asian countries were still high, even though lower than in 2017. Thus, North Africa imported 2 million m3 of Swedish softwood lumber in 2018, -5% less than in 2017, while other Asian countries received 1,68 million m3 ...
