Russia’s logs and lumber exports fall sharply in Jan.-Apr.
During January-April 2020 Russia’s export of lumber exports reached made 5.7 million tons, down 9.6% year-on-year. According to the Russian Federal Customs Service’s statistics (Rosstat), in terms of value, lumber export was down 8.9% making $1.3 billion. Logs export decreased by 23.6% year-on-year down to 3.9 million m3 worth $271.8 million, down 29.6% year-on-year.
