Russian softwood lumber exports increase sharply in value
Russian softwood lumber exports increased sharply in the first eight months of the year, both in value and in volume terms. According to the Russian Federal Customs Office, during the first eight months of the current year Russia exported 12.835 million tonnes of sawn timber. That is 5.3% more than during the respective period of the last year. The total value of the exported Russian softwood lumber increased as well.
