Russia might stop duties of exports of birch logs
Recently, the Russian Federal Government's Committee on Foreign Trade and Tariff Policy Protection Measures has submitted a proposal to stop the implementation of the birch log export quota system. In 2017 alone, China imported a total of 1.917 million cubic meters of birch logs, with an import value of 244.425 million US dollars. In December 2017 alone, it reached 203,000 cubic meters, of which 81.9% came from the Russian Federation, Russia.
