Rising trend for U.S. lumber prices continues

  Sales of framing lumber in U.S. geared down, as buyers had covered many of their needs prior to the holiday-shortened week. Prices continued to go up, but at a much lower pace as compared to the previous weeks.  Monday’s holiday in Canada got trading at mills north of the border off to a slow start. In the U.S., producers noted that sales were better than expected through Tuesday, although expectations for the balance of the week were low.
