Rise in spruce log prices eases in Germany
In January 2022, the German producer price indices for spruce only partially continued the upward trend that had been going on since March. On average, the index for logs rose by 0.4% compared to the previous month to a level of 95.1 points. B grades recorded a minus of 0.2% to 98.2 points, to which 3 m lengths contributed with -1.1% to 98.3 points. 4/5 m lengths also increased by 0.4% to a level of 100.8 points.
