At the end of July, Spruce / fir roundwood (quality B, 2b) in Austria was sold between 100 and 115 € / cubic meter. That is the all-time highest price level ever reported in Austria, but also in Germany's Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.  The price low is only 13 months away from the current high: In July 2020, the same range of fresh wood was sold for only € 61.3 per cubic meter. But since most of the wood came onto the market as damaged wood, the true price level was still significantly lower.   ...
