Moelven considers closure of another sawmill
After announcing the closure of its Ransby sawmill in Sweden back in May, Moelven is now considering shutting down its sawmill operations in Løten, Norway. The board of Moelven Løten AS said the move is being evaluated due to weak profitability, driven by high raw material prices, high production costs, and a challenging softwood lumber market. “We don’t see how we can maintain sawmill operations at Løten going forward.
