List of largest wood-based panel producers in China

With a total production of 1,490,000 m3/year, Jilin Sen Workers' Forming Group Co., Ltd., is China's top wood based panel producer followed by Daya Shengxiang Home Co., Ltd. and Ningfeng Group Co., Ltd, on the second and third place. 

In 2018, the national consumption of wood-based panel products in China was about 290.32 million cubic meters, a slight decrease of 0.5% over the previous year. The consumption was negative for the first time in the past decade. The average annual growth rate of national wood-based panel consumption in the past 10 years was close to 13.1%.

It still exceeds the growth rate of production by 0.5 percentage points, but the growth gap is narrowing significantly. Consumption is still the driving force driving the development of China's wood-based panel industry. The consumption of plywood products increased slightly, and the consumption of fiberboard products and particleboard products showed a different degree of decline. In 2018, the destocking of wood-based panel products continued to advance.

In 2018, under the complicated international trade environment, China exported a total of 14.23 million cubic meters of wood-based panel products, an increase of 2.1% over the previous year. The export value was about 6.773 billion US dollars, up 6.8% over the previous year, changing the trend of the previous three consecutive years of decline. The export volume and export volume of plywood products and particleboard products increased year-on-year. Among them, the export volume and export volume of plywood products accounted for 79.7% and 81.9% of the total export of all kinds of wood-based panels, respectively.

Along with the rapid development of China's wood-based panel industry, a number of large-scale wood-based panel enterprises or enterprise groups have emerged. In terms of scale, through the establishment of new production lines, cross-industry mergers and acquisitions, and mergers and acquisitions within the industry, the production scale of key enterprises has expanded rapidly, and millions of cubic meters have been added. From the perspective of products, most of the enterprises are becoming bigger and stronger. At the same time, the variety of wood-based panels has been continuously expanded by companies which have become multi-product groups covering plywood, fiberboard and particleboard products.
