Kronospan hit by Turkish antitrust probe into raw-material supply
The Turkish unit of wood-based panels manufacturer Kronospan is under investigation by Turkey’s competition authority over alleged collusion in the procurement of raw materials, the regulator said on Tuesday. The probe also includes Turkish firms Çamsan Entegre and Kastamonu Entegre, both major producers in the medium-density fibreboard (MDF) and particleboard sector. The companies are accused of potentially violating Article 4 of Turkey’s competition law, which prohibits agreements that restrict or distort competition.
