HS Timber Group builds EUR 84 million sawmill in Belarus
HS Timber Group (former Holzindustrie Schweighofer) is expanding its portfolio by building a modern sawmill in Svisloch, the Grodno region, Belarus. The investment amounts to Euro 84 million. After a three-year lead time, the building permit has been issued and the groundbreaking ceremony takes place on 18 December, 2020. Completion is expected in spring 2022. In the current expansion stage, the sawmill, processing pine and spruce logs, has an annual sawing capacity of 500,000 m3 of coniferous roundwood.
