On Thursday, July 16, Holmen announced the news that the Group has signed an agreement to acquire the family-owned wood products company Martinsons.  The purchase price amounts to SEK 1.0 billion (EUR 97 million) for 100 percent of the shares and the acquisition also means that Holmen will almost double its sales of wood products to just over SEK 3 billion (EUR 292 million) per year.  Martinsons has its headquarters in Bygdsiljum between Umeå and Skellefteå and is today one of Sweden's leading players in sawnwood products as well as glulam and cross ...
