According to Eurostat data, Germany exported a total of 3.78 million m3 of roundwood in 2018. This is 33% more than in the previous year with 2.84 million m3.  The main customer remains Austria at 2.03 million m3 (+ 20%), followed by Belgium with just under 455,000 m3 (+ 35%). In the EU as a whole, 3.24 million cubic meters of roundwood were exported (+ 21%). This makes the EU by far the largest consumer of coniferous wood from Germany.  Due to the large amount of calamity wood, however, exports to Asia ...
