German timber sector warns agains falling insurance rate in the sawmill industry
In view of the alarming results of a current survey on fire protection insurance, the German Sawmill and Wood Industry Association (DeSH) is warning against insurance companies withdrawing from the industry. More and more often, said the association, companies are not receiving new contracts or are having them terminated - with devastating consequences for operations and the future viability of the regional and climate-friendly forestry and wood cluster.
