German timber sector calls for further EUDR revision
Since its entry into force on 29 June 2023, the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) has caused significant concern. Many parts of the regulation are impractical, and proper implementation poses enormous bureaucratic hurdles and burdens for businesses. Although the EU Commission has made some adjustments following ongoing protests, the German Timber Trade Federation (GD Holz) is calling for further concessions to make implementation of the EUDR feasible in practice.
