German board manufacturer selects location for $250 million U.S. factory
Homanit, a manufacturer of MDF and other fiberboard, has selected a site in South Carolina for its first U.S. manufacturing operation. The $250 million investment is expected to create 300 new jobs. Headquartered in Germany, Homanit is a leading European manufacturer of medium- and high-density wood fiberboards for furniture, automotive, door and coating industries worldwide. The company currently operates production facilities in Germany, Lithuania and Poland.
