French timber industry receives 300 million euro aid
“We must boost the wood industry”, said the French Prime Minister Jean Castex, on Saturday July 24, during a visit of the Piveteaubois sawmill, the French leader in construction timber located in Essarts en Bocage, in Vendée. And for that, the government is ready to hand over the wallet. In addition to the 200 million euros already planned as part of the France Relance plan – including 150 dedicated to reforestation and 50 to modernize the sector – the Prime Minister has promised an additional envelope of 100 million euros, that can be mobilized in 2021-2022.   ...
