Estonian timber sector sees Q2 price adjustments, investments and mergers continue

The Estonian timber market experienced notable developments in the second quarter of 2025, with prices in private forests generally declining while certain assortments in state forests and in Finland increased, according to Heiki Hepner of OÜ Tark Mets for the Estonian Private Forestry Association. Softwood log prices in private forests fell significantly, especially for pine, which declined 7.1% quarter-on-quarter, while spruce prices dropped by 1.3%.
