Decreasing US softwood lumber imports as shipments from Canada fall

From January to April, US import volumes fell by nearly 7% or 860,000 m³. This is the result of a decrease in softwood lumber imports from Canada.  In the months from January to April, US softwood lumber imports totaled 11.72 million m³. As data published by the FAS show, this corresponds to a 6.8% decrease compared to the same period of last year.
