Coronavirus: Chinese ports full; supply of logs jammed, prices rising

   The supply of both New Zealand radiata pine as well as European spruce is reducing in China due to a lack of containers and some shipping lines have stopped shipping to China due to the Covid-19 disruptions to the supply chain;  Logs are currently locked in ports due to the lack of machinery and people, and logs are even stacked in carparks;  The asking price for logs has increased sharply as log traders look to cover their increasing transportation costs.  The log inventory of 6.9M m3 in China consisted of approximately 54 ...
