Conifex curtails Mackenzie sawmill
Conifex Timber Inc. announced that it will temporarily curtail its Mackenzie, British Columbia sawmill operations for two weeks commencing July 29, 2019, due to continued high log costs and lumber market conditions. Back in June, Conifex Timber Inc. also announced that it has entered into a definitive purchase agreement with Hampton Lumber for the sale of its Fort St. James sawmill and associated forest license for the purchase price of $39 million.
