Bark beetle infestation hasn’t impacted the Baltic states
In contrast to large parts of Central Europe with a focus on Germany and Austria, the bark beetle calamity in the Baltic States is comparatively insignificant. In Lithuania, the bark beetle population decreased by 11% in 2019 compared to 2018. The summer generation in August 2019 even decreased by 35% compared to 2018.
