The Austrian sawmill industry’s locations are currently stocked with varying amounts of spruce sawlogs. Accordingly, demand behavior also differs. In the south, the stockpiles are partially full, and the mills are therefore only partially able to take in logs. In the west, there has been a slight decrease in demand, while in the north, demand remains high. Contractually agreed quantities are being quickly transported away.
