Austria: Strong demand for softwood sawlogs, prices on the rise in January
Despite the sluggish economy and slow lumber sales, demand for softwood sawlogs in Austria remains robust. Sawmills are fully prepared to absorb the current supply, and logs are being swiftly transported. Weather-related logging restrictions may eventually limit operations, but for now, prices are rising across most regions except Burgenland.
