Austria: Prices for spruce softwood sawlogs stabilize in March 2024
There's a decline in sawn timber demand in Austria. Economic growth is stagnating and construction industry remains in recession due to high financing costs. Softwood sawlogs Accordingly, the demand for spruce softwood sawlogs is declining again compared to the previous month. Regional forest inventories have formed, partly due to thawing restrictions and partly due to increased supply quantities.
