Russia: Segezha’s revenues drop as plywood sales fall 18%

Segezha, one of Russia’s largest timber industry groups, reported a revenue decline in the first half of 2025 as weaker export demand and currency shifts weighed on performance. The company said revenue fell 8% year-on-year to 44.8 billion rubles (€448 million), citing lower export sales and prices alongside the strengthening ruble. Domestic sales were also affected, with Russian market revenue down 10% compared with the same period last year. In the second quarter, sales of sawnwood held steady at 500 million rubles (€5 million), unchanged from 2024.
