Sveaskog posts strong Q2 results on back of high log prices

Sweden’s state-owned forest company Sveaskog reported a sharp rise in second-quarter earnings, driven largely by significantly higher log prices.In the second quarter of 2025, Sveaskog’s operating profit increased by 48% to SEK 740 million (approx. EUR 65 million), up from SEK 500 million in the same period last year. Net sales rose by 10% year-on-year to SEK 2.45 billion (EUR 215 million).Despite a 7% drop in delivery volumes, the company said average log prices rose by 16%, with deliveries from its own forests seeing a 28% price increase compared to Q2 ...
