Bjelin secures access to Spačva Forest, increasing supply of Slavonian oak for parquet flooring
Bjelin has obtained access to the Spačva Forest in Croatia, the largest continuous oak forest in Europe. The forest, which is FSC®-certified, accounts for around 20% of Croatia’s total oak forest area and is part of the country’s broader forest coverage of approximately 36%. The Slavonian oak harvested from this region is used as raw material for parquet flooring. The timber is processed in local sawmills before being finished in parquet factories.
