Poland: Lesy ČR posts 18% profit increase in Q1 2025 as harvest and sales rise
Poland's state-owned forestry company Lesy České republiky (Lesy ČR) reported an 18% year-on-year increase in pre-tax profit for the first quarter of 2025, reaching CZK 2.3 billion (EUR 93.1 million). The growth was driven by a 5.1% rise in timber harvest volumes and higher revenues from wood sales, the company said. According to spokesperson Eva Jouklová, timber harvest reached 2.18 million cubic metres in Q1.
