German parquet industry feels positive impact of EU tariffs on China
Since the introduction of the provisional EU tariffs against dumped Chinese parquet in January, the parquet market has been developing positively again for the German parquet industry. Member companies sold approximately 1.36 million square meters in the first quarter of 2025 – an increase of almost 10 percent over the same period last year. Sales increased by 6.7 percent compared to the same quarter last year to just under €48 million. During the same period, imports of multi-layer parquet from China declined dramatically.
