Growth in Russian timber exports as market conditions shift
Russia's forest product exports grew by 14.4% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2025, reaching a total value of $2.6 billion, up from $2.2 billion in the same period last year, according to data released by the Federal Customs Service (FCS) and cited by the League of Waste Paper Processors. Imports of forest products also increased, albeit more modestly.
