Södra acquires full ownership of Dutch wood products distributor Smartt Timber
Swedish forest industry group Södra has acquired all shares in the Netherlands-based company Smartt Timber B.V., taking full ownership of the wood products distributor after previously holding a partial stake. Smartt Timber has been a long-standing sales partner for Södra Wood in the Dutch and Belgian markets, which are considered strategically important for the Swedish group. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The company said operations will continue unchanged following the acquisition.
