Metsä Group sees muted wood market, sawn timber prices rise despite sluggish demand
Metsä Group reported weak first-quarter results in its wood-related business segments, citing continued sluggish demand from the construction sector and regional disparities in wood markets. Despite this, sawn timber prices rose year-on-year, supported by increased delivery volumes and a tight supply situation.
