Austrian sawmills sustain softwood sawlog demand as prices rise
Despite bleak economic forecasts, Austrian sawmills remain highly receptive to softwood sawlogs. The demand revival observed in the previous month has continued, with slight price increases now evident in Lower Austria, Styria, and Tyrol. Harvesting activities are still largely limited to processing damaged wood. Stockpiled assortments are quickly transported, although regional delays occur due to softened forest roads.
